I started using carob powder instead of cacao in my morning smoothies because I was having bad symptoms from consuming too many acidifying foods in my diet and carob is a great alkaline substitute for cacao. I really liked the taste and wondered if I could find some solid carob chocolate for a sweet treat.

I was delighted to find that the Little Zebra Chocolates Company was making what I craved for and now I can have my chocolate without feeling so guilty and paying for my awful symptoms afterwards. There is also no added sugar because carob is naturally sweet so anyone on the candida-diet or worried about maintaining healthy blood sugar levels can give these a try.

I love eating these on their own but I am also going to use them in my baking, including sugar free chocolate chip cookies..yum! I also sell xylitol which is a healthy sugar alternative for the cookie dough and other desserts.
