Arrabiata pasta is my partners favourite Italian dish and mine too as the garlic and chilli in the tomato sauce is really delicious. We add sauteed mushrooms, Kalamata olives and cracked pepper to ours and sometimes some vegan coconut bacon and cashew Parmesan when we’re feeling decadent..yummo! 😛

Arrabbiata sauce is a spicy sauce for pasta made from garlic, tomatoes, and dried red chili peppers cooked in olive oil. The sauce originates from the Lazio region, around Rome. Arrabbiata literally means “angry” in Italian; the name of the sauce refers to the spiciness of the chili peppers.
Arrabbiata sauce is usually served with penne pasta.
