Description

Valerian is a perennial flowering plant with sweet-scented pink heads, common to Europe as well as Asia. It is known as a medicinal plant in Tibetan medicine, where it is used to relieve problems with sleeping and feelings of irritation, sadness, anxiety, nervousness and tension.

Both the Greek and Romans were familiar with Valerian’s sleep encouraging properties, and modern western alternative therapies expound its properties in this area.

Its best not to drive or operate machinery after using these incense sticks as they have mild sedative qualities.

These sticks come wrapped in a handmade Lokta paper tube with a small wooden incense burner. Lokta paper is made from the fibrous inner bark of evergreen Daphne family shrubs. This artisan activity and the product is indigenous to Nepal, so is entirely appropriate and suitable for these incense sticks.

  • 30 sticks, string-tied in a roll, inside a lokta paper tube
  • A small stick holder is included
  • 11 cm long
  • 100% natural ingredients sourced from all over the Himalayan region
  • Handmade in Nepal
